All dressed up in Wonderland: Originals

My first semester back at school is nearly over.  Yay!  As you can see I've been busy with more than just the day job and school work.  I've been spending a lot of time in the art room sewing.  I wish I could say I've been painting, but lately my medium has been thread and  t-shirts.  I'm actually really proud of these two dresses because these are all me.  I didn't use tutorials or online patterns.  I didn't even draw these out first.  I just went with it and made it up as I went.  They turned out pretty good too.

I can't wait for school to end and summer to begin.  I want to make more dresses and hope fully start building an inventory to sell some pieces.  ;)  I need to pay for school somehow.

  3. Oh, I am so jealous that you can sew jersey fabric. I have a stupid machine, unfortunately. :)

  4. hey...where on island can you find knits?...am i missing something?...the only craft/fabric stores i have found are radhi's/fabric mart/ben franklin but there are several crafty/fabric needs i have that i can't find there!...otherwise, do you know of a good online source that ships out here?

    help!

(also, know of any sewing tutors? - i've found "sew it yourself", but she wants $25/hour! - too rich for my blood!)

  5. I use old t-shirts to make dresses, but there are many sellers on etsy.com that will ship to Guam. I like etsy because you can search for specific supplies and buy from an independent source, not just a corporation. I find it easier to deal with actual people for shipping to Guam. Plus you'll be supporting a small business. :)

I don't know of any other tutors, but you might want to check U.O.G. and G.C.C. I believe they both have clothing construction classes. Might be more expensive thought since you'll be paying fees and tuition.
